KRJ Consulting’s President & CEO, Karen R. Jenkins, was featured among key voices representing the small business community during Small Business Day at the South Carolina State House, hosted by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.

The annual event brings together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from across the state to elevate the role of small businesses and ensure their voices are heard at the center of legislative decision-making.

This year’s gathering marked the fourth annual Small Business Day, reinforcing the continued importance of advocacy, connection, and collaboration between business leaders and state leadership.

During the program, Karen Jenkins spoke on behalf of South Carolina’s small business community—highlighting both the economic impact and the real-world challenges businesses are navigating today, including workforce needs, rising costs, and regulatory complexity.

Her message reflected a core truth:

Small businesses are not only driving economic growth—
they are the heartbeat of our communities.

With small businesses widely recognized as the lifeblood of South Carolina’s economy, the event underscored their critical role in job creation, innovation, and community development.

Beyond the Moment

At KRJ Consulting, this work extends far beyond the stage.

We partner with organizations to:

  • Strengthen workforce capacity
  • Align leadership and operational systems
  • Create environments where performance and growth can actually hold

Because supporting small businesses isn’t just about recognition.

It’s about building the conditions that allow them to scale, sustain, and lead.
