As we welcomed the first day of Fall yesterday, I couldn’t help but pause in gratitude for the summer that has passed. Summer gave us long days of energy, growth, and momentum and now, Fall ushers in a season of transition, reflection, and preparation for what’s next.

In August, we leaned into Transition—acknowledging the shifts that inevitably come in life, leadership, and business. Transition often feels uncomfortable, but it is also the spark that positions us for something greater.

Living within your means used to be a common practice in the early 1900s, embedded deeply in the fabric of everyday life. Families transacted on a cash basis, ensuring that their spending never exceeded the cash they had available. Even for significant purchases, saving up enough cash was a prerequisite.
In today’s economic climate, it’s paramount to rekindle the spirit of personal fiscal responsibility. Revisiting some of these traditional practices can significantly bolster both your budget and your overall financial well-being. While the Credit Card Act of 2009 offers consumer protection regulations, it’s incumbent upon individuals to educate themselves and take proactive measures to steer clear of the perilous debt trap.
